Rafter-L Rodeo Company from Philadelphia will present their 1st Annual PCA Rodeo at the Louisville Coliseum on March 23 & 24, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and rodeo starting at 7:30 p.m.
General admission for the event will be $10, with children 8 years and under receiving free admission. 10% of these proceeds will go to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.
Some of the featured events for the night will be “Bull Poker.” Bull Poker consists of 5 cowboys sitting at a poker table in the middle of the arena. Next, they will release a bull into the arena, and the last cowboy to leave the table will receive a prized belt buckle.
The rodeo will also feature a few events specifically for the kids. A dance-off for kids will be one of those events. Four children will be selected randomly from the audience and brought into the arena. They will then dance with the crowd being the judge. Whoever receives the loudest applause by the audience for their dance skills will win a gift certificate. There will also be a Cash Scramble Event for the kids as well.
Clay Young of Rafter-L Rodeo Company spoke about the event. “It’s nothing of its kind around here,” said Young.
After each day of the rodeo, an After Rodeo Party will take place at the Shriner’s Building on 3305 Hwy 15.
The after party will include performances by Rico & the Border Patrol on Friday night, and Southbound on Saturday night.
