Judge Kilgore elected to the Chancery Conference leadership

Chancery Judge Joseph Kilgore of Philadelphia was elected secretary of the Conference of Chancery Judges on April 26 during the Trial and Appellate Judges Conference in Jackson. Other conference officers are Chancellor Cynthia Brewer of Madison County, chair; Chancellor Kenneth M. Burns of Okolona, vice-chair; and Chancellor William Singletary of Clinton, treasurer. Judge Kilgore has served as a judge of the Sixth Chancery District since July 2010. The district includes Attala, Carroll, Choctaw, Kemper, Neshoba and Winston counties. Judge Kilgore previously served by appointment as a special master in Chancery Court and as a Kemper County Youth Court referee. He served on the planning team for the Choctaw Healing to Wellness Drug Court. He also was special prosecutor for the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, the Neshoba County Justice Court and Philadelphia Municipal Court.
