On Tuesday, Dec. 4, the Nanih Waiya Warriors boys and girls squads hosted the Ethel Tigers.

The Lady Warriors tipped off first, and claimed a 37-20 victory. The boys followed with a 64-34 loss to the Tigers.

The Nanih Waiya Warriors squads traveled to the annual Ackerman tournament last Thursday night, Dec. 6 with several area schools participating in the event.

On Thursday evening, the Lady Warriors tipped off against the East Webster Wolverines. The Lady Wolverines took a 49-27 win from the matchup.

The Warriors’ varsity boys team were unable to secure a win later that night dropping a 69-37 decision to the Ackerman Indians.

The following day of the tournament, the Lady Warriors had success on the court out-scoring Caledonia 30-14 for a Nanih Waiya victory.

However, the boys fell to the Wolverines on the second day of tournament action, 53-37.

The Lady Warriors will host West Lowndes Tuesday, Dec. 18, with a 6 p.m. tip off while the Warriors will travel to Leake County Dec. 27 with a 3 p.m. tip off. Louisville

The Louisville Wildcat basketball squads hosted Leake Central last Friday and split the matches. The Lady Cats out-scored Leake Central and grabbed a 61-46 win while the Wildcats dropped a 58-47 loss.

Both the boys and girls varsity teams will host West Point Friday, Dec. 14 with a 6 p.m. tip off. The following day Louisville will host the annual Wildcat Classic where the each varsity squad will tip off against Choctaw Central. On Dec. 17, the Wildcats will host the Ackerman Indians with a 6 p.m. tip off. Noxapater

The Noxapater Tigers varsity squads hosted West Lowndes Dec. 4. The Lady Tigers took a 56-51 heartbreaker loss while the Tigers split the match claiming a 61-56 victory over West Lowndes. The Tiger teams traveled to Maben to take on the West Oktibbeha Timberwolves on the court. The Lady Tigers dropped a 58-49 decision while the Noxapater boys team was defeated by the Timberwolves 74-41.

In the Noxapater Shootout hosted by the Tigers last Saturday, the Tigers claimed a 47-41 win over Philadelphia.

Both varsity Tiger squads will travel to Louisville this Saturday to play in the Wildcat Classic. The Tigers will tip off against the Eupora Eagles. On Dec. 8, Noxapater will host the Weir Lions with a 6 p.m. tip off.
