Winston Medical Center goes live with Healthland’s Electronic Health Records

From Brandi Krajewski, WMC Marketing Director

Winston Medical Center plans to successfully launch its new electronic health record on January 8, 2013. Winston Medical Center will be implementing Healthland, America’s largest provider of fully integrated solutions to rural community and critical access hospitals, serving more than 500 clients across the country. Software and services from Healthland, including its electronic health record (EHR) solution, empower community hospitals to deliver the best possible healthcare by providing a central repository of patient information in all care settings, be it a hospital, clinic or extended care facility.

With more than 30 years of experience in the rural healthcare market, Healthland solutions are uniquely suited to the size and needs of rural hospitals, enabling them to focus on what they do best – care for family, friends and neighbours.

Healthland allows information to be shared securely and quickly. As a result, health care providers can access data such as medical histories, medications, and test results more efficiently and determine the best course of treatment for patients sooner from inside the hospital or at their offices.

“This advanced technology will assist in fulfilling our Mission of providing quality healthcare to Winston and surrounding communities. Our new electronic health record will enable all members of a patient’s health care team to see a more comprehensive picture of the patient’s health and condition in order to develop an integrated treatment plan. It reduces paperwork and costs, makes it easier for individuals to manage their own health information, and helps us to deliver the best possible care to everyone we serve” stated Lee McCall, CEO.
