The Louisville Wildcats football team is still making headlines after the release of the All-Region 4 Class 4A 2011 Football Team.
After an amazing 2011 campaign, it is not surprising the number of Wildcats that made the team. Besides the players, the coaching staff for the Wildcats also made their mark, receiving the All-Region 4 Class 4A Coaching Staff of the year Award.
Senior wide receiver and East Mississippi Community College signee C.J. Bates received top honors after being awarded All-Region 4-4A Most Valuable Player. Also, senior running back and East Central Community College signee Davais Schaffer received All-Region 4-4A Offensive MVP honors.
Sophomore quarterback Wyatt Roberts received the All-Region 4-4A Quarterback award, while sophomore wide receiver Desmond Goss received the All-Region 4-4A Wide Receiver award.
Senior offensive lineman Jack Vowell was awarded the All-Region 4-4A Offensive Lineman award, while sophomore punter Dalton Hudspeth received the All-Region 4-4A Punter award. For the All-Region 4-4A Linebacker award, senior Chaffin Triplett received this honor.
Senior defensive linemen Anthony Davis and Brent Logan both received All-Region 4-4A Linebacker awards, and senior defensive back Desmond Underwood received the All-Region 4-4A Defensive Back award.
The Wildcats also had a number of All-Region players, including sophomore Nick Shields, sophomore Jeremy Sangster, senior Marcus Odom, junior Raquel Graham, senior Jonathan Coleman, senior Trent Bradley, and senior Antonio Goss.
Congratulations go out to these players for their accomplishments on and off the field, as well as to the coaching staff.
