PCA awards Louisville Rodeo ‘Best Small Town Rodeo

The Professional Cowboy Association (PCA) awarded Rafter L Rodeo
Company with the prestigious national award, 2012 Small Rodeo of the
Year.

Annually, the PCA sanctions about 100 rodeos in eight states
throughout the Southeast and the first annually rodeo held by Rafter
L Rodeo Company in Louisville received the award after hosting a
March Rodeo in 2012. The 2012 Small Rodeo of the Year award is voted
on by the PCA’s contestants based upon the hospitality of the area,
the organization of the event and overall welcoming atmosphere.

Leslie Lovern of Rafter L Rodeo Company noted that they did have the
most contestants for any small rodeo last year and that they were
honored to receive the award and were prepared to make this year’s
event even better.

“We are honored to win the national Best Small Rodeo 2011 award.
We are proud to be part of the PCA. Our goal is to create a rodeo
where contestants are welcome and want to compete. We are part of our
community and work together with our sponsors to have a great
rodeo,” said Lovern.

The Rafter L Rodeo Company under the direction of Chad Lovern, Leslie
Lovern and Jerome Boatner will host this year’s event March 29 and
30. They are presently seeking sponsors for the event.
