Reward offered in Dean Park vandalism

The Winston County Sheriff’s Department is offering a $500 reward for
information that leads to the arrest of the vandal or vandals who
broke into the women’s bathroom at Dean Park and destroyed the sinks
and commode.

The vandalism most likely occurred between Feb. 22 and Feb. 24. the
vandals did over $500 in damage. The Dean Park Commissioners and
Friends of Dean Park have been working on the bathrooms and seveal
other projects to improve the park.

Friends of Dean Park announce Dean Park cleanup day

Friends of Dean Park, Inc. invites everyone to participate in its
quarterly Beautification Day at Dean Park, Hwy 15 South, Louisville,
MS on Saturday, March 9.

This is a great time for those students, 4 H Club Boys and Girls,
Girls and Boy Scouts and master gardeners to come out and get those
community service hours.

All members and potential members, please be present. The time is
from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. They will break for a snack and a meeting
from 11:00 a.m. – 12 noon.

“We need you to help us get the ground ready for the spring and
summer. Dean Park is a beautiful park, please help us to keep it
that way,” said Patterson. The vandalism at the park during the
weekend of February 24, 2013 took place only in the women’s bathroom
which resulted in the two face bowls being taken off the wall. It
should be repaired by Saturday.
