Louisville Fire Department Open House set for April 6

The Louisville Fire Department Association members invite everyone
out to the LFD Open House set for April 6 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The fire association aims to attract new members by showing what the
association does in conjunction with what the fire department does on
a daily basis.

“The association is a support group for the department and
association members do not have to be volunteers,” said Chief Terry
Johnson.

The event will be at the Louisville Fire Department located on Spring
Street in Louisville. The association and fire department members
will have bouncy house and jumpers, a hose roll, a fire safety
demonstration, firefighter equipment assessment demonstration, a
forestry spray line and much more for children and adults.

“This is to show what we do and raise awareness and funds for the
association, said Tracy Grabher.

To raise funds the association will be selling hamburger plates for
$5. In addition to helping provide funds to the fire department for
equipment and other items the association has also raise funds for
community members in need.

The open house also provides the department with a chance to provide
safety message and fire alarms to those in need.
