Summer feeding program planned

2013 Summer Feeding Program, Free meals for all children. The Louisville Municipal School District is participating in the Summer Food Program. Meals will be provided at the sites and times as follows; Breakfast 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m., Lunch 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., at Louisville High School June 3, 2013 – July 31, 2013.

Eiland Middle June 3, 1023 – July 31, 2013, closed July 4th and 5th

Nanih Waiya June 3, 2013 – June 28, 2013; Noxapater June 3, 2013 – June 28, 2013

Photography Workshop June 15

The Friends of Noxubee Refuge will offer an Adult Photography Workshop

Saturday June 15 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Refuge Visitor Center. Blake

McCollum will instruct the class on outdoor photography. Participants

Fitness event June 15

Hip Hop Abs and Insanity fitness training workouts are coming to Anytime Fitness. Registration will be held on June 15 at Anytime Fitness from 10am to 2 pm. Classes will begin on June 17. Contact Lawrence Sangster at 662-803-5613 if interested.

Vacation Bible School June 16-21, 6-8 p.m.

Crystal Ridge Baptist Church vacation Bible school will be June 16-21 from 6-8 p.m. We will start on Sunday night and our commencement will be on Friday night.

NAACP Seminar June 18

The Winston County Branch of NAACP is sponsoring a seminar on the Affordable Care Act. The topic revolves around what will happen to one’s Health Care plan. Hat Day Program June 23

Mount Calvary Baptist Church will have their second annual hat day program on Sunday, June 23rd, at 3:00 p.m. The guest speakers will be Sister Claudine Carter and Sister Pearlean Edwards. The public is invited to attend and show off those beautiful hats.

 

Hailey Reunion June 23

The annual Hailey reunion will be held June 23 at the Masonic Lodge in Preston, MS on Hwy 21 North. All family members are invited to attend the potluck. The event will begin at 10:30 am and will include a lunch at noon.

 

Tennis for Life camp July 15-19

Building Strong Families Free Job Training in June

Shots required for school

All 7th grade students must have the 7th grade immunization shot before school begins on August 5th. Immunization shots can be given at your local health department or pediatric clinic. If you have any questions please contact the Eiland Middle School office or your local health department.

 

Walking in Wellness each Saturday

A Walking and Wellness group will be walking Saturdays from 9:00am – 10 am at Ivy Park in Louisville. All are invited to come enjoy the exercise and fun.

 

AA Meets

Louisville/Winston County Alcoholics Anonymous will now meet Monday and Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. beginning the first week of January 2012 on the second floor of the community house. Meetings until then will still take place on Wednesday and Friday nights at 7:30 p.m.

 

The Winston County Paparazzi on fourth Thurs of each month

The Winston County Paparazzi is working with the MSU Extension Office in Louisville to offer monthly meetings for photography enthusiasts. La Leche League of Louisville meets monthly on the 4th Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the County Extension Building.
