‘Drive-Thru’ prayer at FUMC set this Friday from 7:30 – 9:30

From press reports

This Friday, June 28th, from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m., Louisville FUMC will be holding their second “Drive-Thru” prayer event and are encouraging anyone in the community to come drive through the church parking lot with prayer requests. Cars will be directed into the Main Street entrance and members of the FUMC prayer team will be there to pray with each car. Each prayer request is lifted up on the spot and the driver is on his or her way.

“We didn’t know what to expect for the first one we did back in May, but the response was overwhelming and we prayed with almost 50 cars,” says church member Melanie Yates. “The Bible says, in Matthew 18:20, ‘where two or more are gathered together, there I am also,’ and we experienced the power of God in the people who drove through at our first “Drive-Thru” and know He will show Himself again this coming Friday,” said Yates, “And we want to encourage people to come through and lift up prayer concerns or praises with a member of our prayer team!”

“John Wesley said God does nothing but in answer to prayer and we want to make prayer available to our entire community. This is how we access the power of God,” said Mike Childs, pastor of FUMC.
