Warrant and drug dog help make bust

The Winston County Sheriff’s office executed a search warrant at 202 South Street on Thursday June 20.

During the search with the help of the department’s drug searching canine, Cade, officers discovered approximatley one lb of marijuana, along scales and packaging material. All the items were seized and one persons was taken into custody.

Micheal Dismuke was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a school.

K-9 “Cade” was instrumental in this operation according to the sheriff and deputies.

Sheriff Jason Pugh encourages all citizens to report crimes and suspicious activity.
