Dean Park, the beautiful park on Hwy 15 South in the Center Ridge Community, has a lot of activities going on this summer. Eric McCarter, Sr. with sons Eric, Jr. and Nigel came from Starkville to fish in the lake at Dean Park. They were pleased to catch a medium size bass even though the father said a bigger one got away. Nigel enjoyed playing on the playground with Mish’shon (6) and Lamisha Littleton-Lennon (10) who are visiting from Milwaukee with their grandparents Eddie Littleton and Elmetra Patterson-Littleton.

The Friends of Dean Park, Inc. (FODP) invites the residents to bring their summer visitors to the park to enjoy the playground, basketball, fishing, picnicking, walking and touring of the beautiful landscape. The flowers are in full bloom and “oh so beautiful”, according to one visitor.

The monthly meeting of the FODP is scheduled for Saturday, July 13, 2013, 11:00 a.m. The newly elected officers will be installed and refreshment will be served. Membership to join the FODP is $10 /yearly or $200. for Lifetime. Contact Information: Richard Moncrief 662.736-3323 or Elmetra Patterson 510.672-2106
