LHS Class of 1983 Reunion August 30-31

Louisville High School Class of 1983 will be having their 30th year class reunion August 30 through August 31. The event will be held at Lake Tiak-O’Khata in Honey Suckle Hall. This year, the Noxapater and Nanih Waiya Classes of 1983 will be joining. It is not too late to pay fees. Plan on a weekend of fun! Celebration Aug. 31

The Mt. Olive Bethel Harmony Religious Education Ministry, 123 Armstrong Street will sponsor a Grand Celebration of fellowship and worship Saturday August 31, 2013 beginning at 3:00 pm. Fishplates will be available for purchase and all proceeds will go toward the Religious Education Ministries. Worship services will start at 6:00 pm. The public is invited. Noxapater 7 Aug. 31

Mt. Pleasant #2 Missionary Baptist (MB) Church will be host to The Reflections of The Noxapater Seven. This will be a heartwarming event on Saturday August 31, 2013 at 5:00 pm beginning with a meet and greet while serving hors d’ oeuvre.

Goodin Reunion Sept. 1

The Annual Goodin Reunion will be held September 1, 2013 at the Neshoba County Coliseum. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Please bring a covered dish.

AARP to meet Sept. 1

Winston County area AARP Chapter #2859 will hold their September 11, 2013 meeting in Dean Park beginning at 12:00 noon.

Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish and something to drink. This is the first meeting after vacation. Members are asked to please be present and on time.

Caperton Reunion September 1

The descendants of the late Samuel Henry Caperton and Sarah Frances Ball will be having their annual family reunion at the J.W. Young and Mollie Estes Park in Noxapater on Sunday, September 1, 2013. Please bring a covered dish and enjoy the fun, food and fellowship.

ACOG to host singing September 1

The Ackerman Church of God will host a singing with the Briar Ridge Quartet from the Tupelo Church of God Sunday, September 1st at 6pm. The church will be selling spaghetti plates from 4:30-5:30pm for $5.00 per plate or $20.00 for a family. Come out and fellowship together and be blessed by the Briar Ridge Quartet! UDC Sept. 3

Winston Guards 2643 UDC will meet on Tuesday September 3, at 5:30 p.m. at Lake Tiak O’Khata. If you are a woman who is a direct or collateral descendant of a Confederate soldier and 17 years of age or older are invited.

Noxapater Baptist Church to host Back to School event Sept. 7

Noxapater Baptist Church invites all children ages 3 to 6thgrade to a Back to School Splash party. The event is Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. The event will be at the home of Hanna and Joseph McCain 3155 Union Ridge Road Noxapater, MS. The event is also a kickoff of the Noxapater Baptist Church Children’s Choir program.

Revival Services will be held at Gum Branch Baptist Church September 8 -11, Sunday at 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday-Wednesday at 7:00 PM. Brother Grady Crowell will be preaching and Paul Goodin and Susan Blanchard will be the musical entertainment.

Calvary Baptist to host girls event Sept. 14

Calvary Baptist Church in Macon, MS will be hosting a Ladies & Teenage Girls Event on Saturday, September 14th, 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.

The conference is entitled ALL in ALL. Janie McMullen will be the guest speaker.

Janie is the mother to the late Malley Jane. Many joined in the prayer group praying for Malley Jane and she will be sharing her story of God’s amazing grace and love during the time of their great loss. Teenage girls & ladies are welcomed. Woodmen senior camp Sept. 30

The 2014 Woodmen of the World Senior camp for members age 55+ will be held Sept 30-Oct 2 at Lake Tiak-O’Khata in Louisville, MS. Come join us for some good food, games, fellowship and entertainment. Registration is $80 per member and includes all the meals and entertainment as well as the lodging in either a private hotel room or members can bring their RV and stay in the Lake’s beautiful RV campground. Walking in Wellness each Saturday

A Walking and Wellness group will be walking Saturdays from 9:00am to 10 am at Ivy Park in Louisville. Walk, Exercise and Tennis Every Saturday morning. All are invited to come enjoy the exercise and fun.

AA Meets

Louisville/Winston County Alcoholics Anonymous will now meet Monday and Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. beginning the first week of January 2012 on the second floor of the community house. Meetings until then will still take place on Wednesday and Friday nights at 7:30 p.m.

The Winston County Paparazzi on fourth Thurs of each month
