Family Center Open House Sept. 12, 19 & 26

The LMSD Family Center will hold its annual Open House during the month of Sept. The parents from Fair & Louisville Elementary are invited to come on Thursday, Sept. 12, 19, or 26. The remaining schools in the Louisville Municipal School District are invited to come on Sept. 26. Benefit program Sept. 14

P.A.L.M.’S NEW Generation Mass Choir has reunited to host a be a benefit program for Ms. Alice Faye Coleman on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 6:00 P.M. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. Other guest choirs will be the Prince Voices of Victory and the Black Voices of Mississippi State University. We are asking everyone to come out and support this program. All donations for Ms. Coleman will be greatly appreciated.

Calvary Baptist to host girls event Sept. 14

Calvary Baptist Church in Macon, MS will be hosting a Ladies & Teenage Girls Event on Saturday, September 14th, 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.

The conference is entitled ALL in ALL. Janie McMullen will be the guest speaker.

Janie is the mother to the late Malley Jane. Many joined in the prayer group praying for Malley Jane and she will be sharing her story of God’s amazing grace and love during the time of their great loss. Teenage girls & ladies are welcomed. Fundraiser Sept. 14

The Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club will host it’s annual Summer Fundraiser on Saturday September 14, 2013 Winston County Shrine Club. Plate lunches will be sold from 10:30 – 1:30. Pastoral Appreciation Sept. 15

Kids Crusade Sept. 15-18

Seminary Classes September 16

OCC kickoff Sept. 21

Operation Christmas Child, Countywide kick off Operation Christmas Child is Saturday, September 21, 2013 at First Baptist Church in the Fellowship hall.

Registration begins at 9:45 a.m. The meeting starts at 10a.m. until noon. A light lunch will be served. Come and pick up your supplies. Let’s get started working on the boxes.

Chiefs day Sept. 21

Winston County Chiefs Community Family & Friends Day/ Chicken Plate Sale set for September 21

The staff and parents of the Winston County Chiefs Football Players, and Cheerleaders would like to invite the community of Louisville/Winston County out to their Family and Friends Day, on Saturday, September 21, 2013, beginning at 10:00 am.

The event will be held at the Winston Chiefs Field(Eiland Middle School Field). This will be the Chiefs biggest fundraiser to help support their banquet at the end of the season.

There will be Chicken Plates for sale which will include: 1/2 smoked chicken (breast, leg, thigh, wing) baked beans,corn on the cob, potato salad, & bread for $8.

“Come one, come all, & enjoy some pee-wee football. Bring your lawn chairs, and your tents to this day of a fun/filled event”.

Trail ride Sept. 21

A Trail Ride will be held on Saturday, September 21st in south Winston County. It will leave the Indian Springs church parking lot at 10 a.m. and return in 5-6 hours. Bring your sack lunch for the trail. Food will be served at the end of the ride by the ladies of Indian Springs.

“If you don’t have a horse, come ride in one of the wagons with us!” The church is located at the intersection of Hwy. 25 and Mt. Calvary Church Rd., 12 miles south of Louisville or 6 miles north of Hwy. 19

Concert Sept. 21

A Gospel Benefit Concert will be held for Corey Miller on Saturday September 21, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. Pleasant Grove U.M. Church. The concert will feature local choirs and solo singers. Woodmen senior camp Sept. 30

The 2014 Woodmen of the World Senior camp for members age 55+ will be held Sept 30-Oct 2 at Lake Tiak-O’Khata in Louisville, MS. Come join us for some good food, games, fellowship and entertainment. Registration is $80 per member and includes all the meals and entertainment as well as the lodging in either a private hotel room or members can bring their RV and stay in the Lake’s beautiful RV campground. Annual Bazaar at Whitehall Oct. 26

The Whitehall UMC annual bazaar will be held Saturday October 26, 2013. AA Meets

Louisville/Winston County Alcoholics Anonymous will now meet Monday and Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. beginning the first week of January 2012 on the second floor of the community house. Meetings until then will still take place on Wednesday and Friday nights at 7:30 p.m.

The Winston County Paparazzi on fourth Thurs of each month

The Winston County Paparazzi is working with the MSU Extension Office in Louisville to offer monthly meetings for photography enthusiasts. The meetings are the fourth Thursday of each month at the MSU Extension Office in Louisville at 6pm and are open to everyone.
