Fortnightly Club meets at the start of a new season

Submitted by Lynne Cunningham

After a summer break the Fortnightly Club met at Lake Tiak O’Khata on September 12, enjoying a Dutch Treat Lunch and beginning the new year for regular meetings. The officers acted as hostesses at this gathering and decorated with beautiful fall flowers from Barbara’s Place. After the business meeting Anna Claire Webb, winner of the Distinguished Young Woman 2013 award, presented a lively and enjoyable musical program playing a piano selection she performed during the competition for the award, as well as several other lovely piano selections. Her grandmother Mrs. Jerry Webb, Fortnightly member, and Mrs. Andrew Eaves, club President, her great aunt, had very good reason to be especially proud. Miss Webb’s piano instructor is Mrs. Robert Clark, daughter-in-law of club member Mrs. R. E. Clark. Miss Webb is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Robert Webb. Mrs. R. E. Clark invited the members to the October meeting being held at her home.
