Chamber has Fall falling in place

The Winston County Chamber of Commerce has planned and is moving forward with a busy fall plans.

The Chamber will kick off its Fall events with a Business and Industry Appreciation Lunch set for October 10.

The Business and Industry day will feature a Golf Tournament and luncheon on October 10.

“This year we will thank our Business community and our Industry for the jobs that you all create,” said Linda Skelton, Chamber Director.

The Lunch and Golf Tournament is open to all Chamber of Commerce members.  There is no cost for lunch or for a golf team.  Everything is compliments of the Chamber of Commerce and the Winston County Economic Development Partnership and its sponsors.

The Sponsors are: WLSM, Main Street Tax Service, Fair Propane, Renasant Bank, Citizens Bank, Bancorp South, East Mississippi Electric Power Association, Louisville Bankers Association, Louisville Utilities, Atmos Energy, Town of Noxapater, Winston County Board of Supervisors, and TVA.

Next up for the Chamber and merchants is the downtown Halloween Trick or Treating set for Oct. 31. Participating merchants will pass out candy to children in costumes from 4 to 5 p.m ..

The Chamber will also host the 9th Annual Winston County Harvest Cook-Off SOUTH IN YOUR MOUTH event on Nov. 2. The event will feature teams aiming to cook the best chili in the county. The teams will vie for thousands of dollars in cash prizes.
