4-H Stew Fundraiser set for Nov. 1

4-H Stew Fundraiser set for Friday, November 1 at the Winston County Extension Office from11 a.m. – 2 p.m. $5 for a cup of stew and a cornbread muffin or crackers. Eat in or take out. Will deliver large orders. Please call large orders in at 662-773-3091 or 662-773-5531.

Annual Bazaar Nov. 2

First Methodist Church will hold their annual bazaar on Saturday, November 2. Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The Bazaar will be from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be something for everyone! Lots of homemade goodies, Christmas shops, crafts, white elephant, kids corner, silent auction, and much more. Lots of fun and fellowship.

Mass Choir event Nov. 2

The annual Mass Choir Fall Musical will be held at New Zion M. B. Civil war lecture Nov. 4

As part of the 22nd Annual Hazard Lecture Series, “Voyage from the Past – The Sesquicentennial of the Civil War,” Choctaw County native Michael Ballard will speak on Monday evening, November 4 at 7 p.m. on “The Civil War on the Rivers in Mississippi.” The event will take place at Heritage Academy in Columbus, Mississippi, in their Elementary Activity Building/Auditorium, located at 623 Willowbrook Road. Parent workshops at Family Center Nov. 7 and 14

November is “Active Parent” month at the Family Center. This workshop will assist parents with new link on our school web-site called “Active Parent”. The link can be used to give parents access to their child’s grades, attendance, and discipline. The counselors will provide information on how to access this link and navigate the tools on ACTIVE PARENT.
