Program discusses drug awareness

Louisville High School students recently discussed drug awareness.

Staff members from Louisville High school used several resources, including speaker and local law enforcement, to raise awareness of the potential dangers of alcohol and drug abuse to children.

Louisville High school participated in “National Red Ribbon Week” Oct. 23-31. The annual event, held since 1988, encourages young people to pledge a drug-free life.

Also, “National Drug Facts Week” is Nov. 8-14.

LPD Officer Ed Hunt was on hand along with other groups including LFD to provide information to the parents, grandparents and community members visiting the Head Start.
