Miss LaNeshia Chantel Harrington

Funeral services for Miss LaNeshia Chantel Harrington, 36, were held Saturday November 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Union Chapel M. B. Church with Reverend Billy Clay officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

A native of Louisville Miss Harrington was born in Louisville on September 6, 1977 and died at University Medical Center in Jackson Wednesday October 28, 2013. She was a homemaker.

Survivors are her father Ronnie Harrington and mother Linda Harrington; two sisters Collar Wilson and Tarita Slaughter and her grandmother Jean Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Maldean McQueen Hendricks

Funeral services for Mrs. Maldean McQueen Hendricks, 68, were held Tuesday October 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel M. B. Church with Reverend Thomas Doss officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

A native of Louisville Mrs. Hendricks was born in Louisville on May 10, 1945 and died at her home in Athens, AL. Thursday, October 24, 2013, 2013. She was a retired laborer with General Motors.

Survivors are her husband David Hendricks, her Mother Elsie McQueen; three sisters Joann McFabben, Carolyn Hinds and Ruth McQueen, two brothers, Ocie McQueen and Jeff McQueen and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Estelle Burdine Lollar

Funeral services for Mrs. Estelle Burdine Lollar, 95, were held Tuesday November 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Salem Independent Methodist ear Ackerman Church with Reverends Jim Reed and Jerry Lawson officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

A native of Tutwiler Mrs. Lollar was born in Tutwiler on October 1310, 1918 and died at her home in Ackerman Saturday, November 2, 2013, 2013. She was a homemaker and housewife. She was a member of Salem Independent Methodist Church.

Survivors are five daughters, Jean Abbott of Ackerman, Georgia Mae Childress of Flora, MS, Sarah Hodges of Canton, Mary Hood of Ackerman and Nina Threet of Weir; two sons Bobby Burdine of Ackerman and French Henry Burdine of Hattiesburg , sixteen grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren.

Ms. Evie S. Dew

Funeral services for Ms. Evie S. Dew will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Duane Morgan and Rev. J.W. Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in Hester Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Dew, 97, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Poplar Springs Nursing Home in Meridian, MS. She was born in Kemper County, but made Philadelphia her home. She owned and operated H & H Restaurant before retiring. She was a Methodist.

Survivors are several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Glen Griffin, James Todd, Zachary Todd, Douglas Walker, Charles Williams and J.J. Jenkins.

Ms. Maurine McKnight Sullivan

Ms. Maurine McKnight Sullivan, 99, died Monday, October 28, 2013 at Highland Home in Ridgeland, MS.

Graveside services will be 11 am, Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Enon Cemetery in Ackerman.

She was a native of Ackerman.

Survivors include sons, Boyd P. Sullivan, Jerry L. Sullivan and Dorman C. Sullivan; 8 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
