Louisville soccer teams get on hot streak

The Louisville High School boys and girls soccer teams closed out the 2013 portion of their schedule with a pair of wins.

The Wildcats pounded West Lowndes 10-0 and recorded a 3-0 shut out over West Point, while the Lady Wildcats blanked West Lowndes 4-0 and West Point 2-0.

Isaiah Woods scored four goals in the Wildcats’ win over West Lowndes and had two more in the win over the Green Wave of West Point. Also scoring for LHS against West Lowndes were Santos Espino and Corey McCullough with two each and Channing Hughes and Matthew Moss with a goal apiece. Moss also picked up a goal against West Point.

Morgan Orr notched a pair of goals for the Lady ‘Cats in their win over West Lowndes, while Hailey Ingram and Carmeisha Hunt picked up one each.

Louisville HIgh School was expected to return to action on Jan. 7 when the ‘Cats and Lady ‘Cats play host to West Point and then three nights later host Choctaw Central in region action. Girls games are set for 5 p.m., with the boys to follow at 6:30.
