Mr. Harold Ezelle

Funeral services for Mr. Harold Ezelle was held at 1 PM on Monday, December 23, 2013 from John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Matt White and Rev. John Stephens officiating. Interment was in Greenland Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ezelle, 83, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at his residence. He lived in the Greenland Community most of his life, but made Philadelphia his home for the past few years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a farmer. Mr. Ezelle was a member of Union Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Ezelle is survived by his wife, Thedra Ezelle of Phila, MS; daughters, Jeanie McKay of Phila, MS, Pat Ezelle of Phila, MS, Cindy Page of Phila, MS; (2) nephews; (3)grandchildren; (4) great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Ralph Gordon, Gerald Matlock, Bill Fisher, Neal Moore, Willie Irons, Chris Gardner, Johnny Knochenmuss and Quitman Jones.

Ms. Elma Winstead Stokes

Funeral arrangements for Ms. Elma Winstead Stokes were held at 2 PM Friday, December 27, 2013 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Dennis Duvall officiating. Burial was in the Pine Grove Cemetery in the House Community.

Ms. Stokes, 82, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 at her residence. Ms. Stokes was a member of Grace Baptist Church and had lived in the Bethsaida Community most of her life.

Ms. Stokes is survived by her daughters, Carol Ann Moore, Amy Lou Horn, Linda S. Jayroe, Susan Holley and Emily Hubbard all of Philadelphia; sons, Edward Stokes, Travis Stokes, Preston Stokes all of Philadelphia and Timmy Stokes of Ackerman, MS; 24 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. David Pace

Johnny David Pace, 55, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.  Visitation was at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 1 p.m. until service time at the church.  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2013, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Hill officiating.  Interment will follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

David was born June 11, 1958, to Bernice Collins Pace and William Carvel Pace.  He was a member of West End Baptist Church and he was self-employed in the construction industry.

David is survived by his daughter, Sheena Pace of Louisville; and by four sons, Joseph Pace also of Louisville; Dennis Whitman of North Port, Alabama; Danny Whitman of Hickory, Mississippi; and Darel Reed of Louisville.  He is also survived by his sisters, Cathy Dianne Bush of Starkville; and Linda Edwards of Louisville; and two brothers, William R. Pace of Noxapater; and Ben Pace of Louisville. He survived by three grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Cody Pace, Wiley Pace, Jerry Sullivan, Bob Sullivan, Danny Whitman, Dennis Whitman, Darel Reed, and Benny Pace.  Services are under the direction of Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, 724 North Columbus Avenue, Louisville, MS.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family by signing the guest register.

 Mr. Arthur Allen Ray

Funeral services for Mr. Arthur Allen Ray will be held at 2 PM Thursday, December 26, 2013 from John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. John Stephens and Dr. Eugene Dobbs officiating. Interment will be in Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko, MS. Visitation was at noon. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ray, 88, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Montford Jones Hospital in Kosciusko, MS. He lived in the Burnside Community most of his life.

He was a U.S. Army veteran. He drove for Spector Truck Lines for 30 years. Mr. Ray was a charter member of North Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. Ray is survived by his daughters, Sandra Eubanks of Phila, MS and Dianne Ray of Phila, MS; brothers, Charles Ray of Louisville, MS and Vernon Ray of Kosciusko, MS; (3) grandchildren and (10) great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Nick Eubanks, Jonathan Eubanks, Ben Eubanks, Rocky Parks, Chase Eubanks, Clay Eubanks, Asher Eubanks, Will Eubanks, Rafe Eubanks and Noah Eubanks.

Mrs. Myra A. “Budney” Henson

Funeral services for Mrs. Myra A. “Budney” Henson, 73, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday December 24, 2013 at New Haven Baptist Church, near Weir, MS. Rev, Allen Simpson officiating.

A native of Weir, MS Mrs. Henson was a member of New Haven Baptist Church, and was a bus driver and assistant teacher for many years for the Choctaw County School District. She was born in Choctaw County, MS November14, 1940 and died at her residence Saturday December 21, 2013.

Survivors are her mother, Mrs Daisy Blackwood Lollar of Eupora; her husband Paul Wayne “Poss” Henson of Weir, one son Marty Henson of Weir; one daughter, Gay Henson of Flowood, MS; five sisters; Cheryl Bell of Ethel, Jean Farley of Eupora, Debbie Gupton of New Orleans LA, Gail Saski of Purvis, MS, and Ellen Wright of Plano TX., three brothers, David Simpson of Huntsville, AL., Jr. Simpson of Eupora and Woody Simpson of Ackerman, and one grandchild.

The family suggest memorial be made to St. Jude Children’s research Hospital

Adelyn Love Leggett

Funeral services for Miss Adelyn Love Leggett, 2 months, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday December 29, 2013 at Fellowship Baptist Church near Mathiston MS. Rev, Ralph Cain officiating. Burial followed in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.

A native of Eupora, Leggett was born in Columbus, MS October 24, 2013 and died at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Thursday December 26, 2013.

Survivors are her mother and father Chris Leggett of Eupora and Kayla Washington Leggett of Eupora, one sister Denny Kaylynn of Eupora and one brother, Rydder Lowery of Eupora, maternal grandparents, Michael and Kathy Washington of Columbia, LA and Tammy Woolsey of Herbert, LA; paternal grandparents Teresa Kay Ford and the late Mark Ford

A native of Louisville MS. Mr. Carter was a member of Little Calvary M. B. Church and was born in Louisville, MS June 4, 1932 and died at Jeff Anderson Medical Center in Meridian, MS. Monday. December 16, 2013.

Survivors are two daughters, Annie Donald and Dora Rimmer one sister Helen Carter, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives

Mrs. Gennette Triplett Ball

A native of Louisville MS. Mrs. Ball was a homemaker and a member of Bibleway Pentecostal Church and was born in Louisville, MS January 28, 1951 and died at her home in Louisville. Friday. December 20, 2013.

Survivors are one daughter, Ladonna Ball Crossley of Jackson, MS, one son Shannon Ball of Louisvile four sisters Bertha Lee Cross, Mary Brown, Barbara Lynn Teague of Kosciusko, MS Ella Dean Triplett, ten brothers; Vernice Triplett Jr., Willie Lee Triplett, Rayford Triplett all of Kosciusko, MS, Alemdis Triplett, Robert Lee Triplett and Jimmy D. Triplett all of Meridian, MS, Jackie Triplett and Matthew Triplett and Robert Earl Triplett all of Lithonia GA, Clifford Triplett of Petersburg, VA., nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Maggie J. (Betty) Ladd

Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie J. (Betty) Ladd was held at 2 PM Saturday, December 21, 2013 from John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Gary Sistrunk and Rev. Chris Vowell officiating. Interment was in Oak Ridge Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ladd, 85, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at her residence in the Linwood Community. She retired from Midland Shirt Factory. She was a member of Oak Ridge Church of God.

She is survived by her husband, James Ladd of Union, MS; daughters, Vivian Joann Jackson of Carthage, MS, Shelia Chesney of Decatur, MS; sons, Jimmy G. Munn of Phila, MS and Robert Gary Munn of Benson, AR; sister, Gladys Padgett of Rankin County, MS; (4) grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Dennis Porter, Mike Chesney, Lavell Chesney, Nells Norris, Brad Dew and Scotty Dew.

Mr. Paul E. Parker

Funeral services for Mr. Paul E. Parker were held at 2 PM Thursday, December 19, 2013 from John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Johnny Ainsworth officiating. Interment was in East Lawn Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Parker, 88, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and also served in the Army in Korea. He was a body and fender repairman. Mr. Parker was a mason. He was a Baptist. .

Mr. Parker is survived by his daughters, Ann Skaggs of Morehead, KY and Sheila Weaver of Lebanon, TN; sons, Robert E. Parker of Union, MS, Donnie Parker of Union, MS and Mike Parker of Nashville, TN; sister, Mildred McCullem of Meridian, MS; brothers, David Parker of Phila, MS and Jimmy Parker of Phila, MS; (7) grandchildren; (11) great-grandchildren; (4) great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. J.D. Ladd

Mr. Ladd, 84, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. He lived in the Linwood Community most of his life. He worked at U.S. Electrical Motors. Mr. Ladd was a member of Victory Fellowship Church.

Mr. Ladd is survived by his wife, Imogene Ladd of Phila, MS; (2) daughters, Dianne Johnson of Phila, MS, Dorene Pope of Kosciusko, MS; (2) sons, Donny Ladd of Eupora, MS and Danny Ladd of Kosciusko, MS; (2) sisters, Helen Barrett of Phila, MS and Margene Smith of Phila, MS; (7) grandchildren; (10) great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Bill Boyle, Jeron Foster, Albert Jenkins, Laron Johnson, Dayton Johnson and Jessie Lal.
