Purple and Gold Scholarship ball set for January 25 in Winston County

The Louisville Winston County Chapter of the Alcorn State University (ASU) Alumni Association is sponsoring its’ annual “Purple and Gold Scholarship Ball”.

The event will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Lake Tiak-O’Khata in the Pine Ridge Lodge.

The speaker for the event will be Mr. Marcus D. Ward, Vice President for Institutional Affairs at Alcorn State University. Mr. Ward is a dynamic speaker, with an extensive resume including Special Assistant to the leader in the Office of the U. S. Senate Minority Leader Trent Lott and staff Assistant for U. S. Senator Thad Cochran.

Tickets to the event can be purchased from any member of the Louisville Alumni Association.  The tickets are $25 and can also be purchased at the door.  The price of the tickets include a meal.

There will be door prizes and also a raffle for a 50 inch flat screen television. The money raised will be used to provide scholarships to deserving students in attendance at ASU. This is a black tie affair.
