The Mississippians for Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) conference was held recently at the Pearl River Resort in Philadelphia, MS. New at this year’s statewide EMS conference was a team skills competition. Teams comprised of one EMT and one Paramedic had the chance to compete in a multi-stage event to prove they are among the best clinicians in the state. Austin Roberson, EMT and Adam Young, Paramedic competed in this competition representing LifeCare EMS against other teams from across Mississippi. After two days of intense competition sponsored by the Mississippi Association of Air Medical Providers, the team from LifeCare EMS advanced to the final round of competition and won 2nd place in the MEMS Cup Skills Competition.
