The Boys & Girls Club of Winston County will soon have a new home after finding out last week that they will be moving to a new location in Louisville. Winston County B & G Club President Mike Cournoyer talked about the plans for moving as well as an estimated time of the move. “The Boys and Girls Club will be moving to a new location by the first of June,” said Cournoyer. “We will be moving in the Alternative School location on Warner Ave.” The Alternative School will now be located in the former location of the Boys and Girls, which is at Eiland Middle School. This move comes from plans that were initiated some time back, but were delayed for some time. Cournoyer also spoke on the B & G Club’s upcoming Summer Camp program. “We are actively planning for our Summer Camp program,” said Cournoyer. “This year’s Summer Camp program is limited to the first 30 paid in full applicants. The program will provide a breakfast and a lunch for our kids. The kids will also have the opportunity to go on field trips along many other fun activates during the 8 week camp.” The Summer Camp will begin on June 4 and end on July 27. Times for the Summer Camp will be from 7:30 to 5:30. The cost will be $200 for the 8-week program. Applications can be picked up at the B & G Club’s current location (Eiland Middle School) between 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
