Back to school/stay in school rally set for July 22

The 10th annual NAACP’s district-wide Back to school/ stay in school rally, in partnership with the Louisville Municipal School District, is set for Saturday, July 22, 2017, starting at 12 noon.

Kindergarten – 6th grade activities will take place at Louisville Elementary (LES) at 300 N. Columbus Avenue.

Free school supplies will be distributed. Parents must accompany students.

7th – 12th grade activities will take place at Louisville High School (LHS) at 200 Ivy Avenue.

Free school supplies will be distributed. Parents must accompany students.

The NAACP rally will take place in the Louisville High School auditorium at 4 p.m.  The featured speaker is Dr. Samuel Jones.

New events on the campuses of LES and LHS include the following: new student orientation, pre-registration for classes, teacher assignments, class scheduling and refreshments.
