From press reports
There will be a benefit fundraiser program for Mrs. Aline Haynes on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at 3:30 P.M. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
She is the wife of Mr. Johnnie Haynes and has four daughters; Tiaa, Kiane, Chastidy and Kiaa. Aline is self-employed and a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
Aline will be having hip replacement surgery in December 2012 which will leave her unable to work for several weeks. Aline has done so much for the community, it’s time for the community to pull together and do something good to help her; because she has truly been a blessing to so many.
Several years ago Aline started her own ministry, Abundant Life Outreach, to help people in need. Through this ministry Lain has raised over one million dollars for families with illnesses, people that were laid off from their jobs, families that lost their homes to fire, church fundraisers and generally anyone in need.
It takes a special person with a special gift and caring heart to take things Aline has done to help so many people. Aline feels it was a calling for her. Aline is also the organizer for the Annual Thanksgiving luncheon held at South Louisville Baptist Church. Aline postponed her hip surgery until December to ensure the luncheon would go on this year so the residents of Winston County would have a dinner for Thanksgiving. The luncheon is entering its eleventh year. It will be held on Thanksgiving Day from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Aline started this luncheon to feed those that otherwise would not have a Thanksgiving Dinner. With Aline’s hard work, along with hundreds of volunteers and donations, the luncheon has become a huge success. The luncheon has become a huge success. The luncheon has been a huge blessing for hundreds of Winston County residents. Everyone is encouraged to attend and volunteer if able. Aline even has drivers that will deliver lunches for those that can’t get to the luncheon. So many depend on this luncheon as their Thanksgiving meal.
Aline was voted Winston County Woman of the Year in 2007. She has been featured on WCBI News several times for her effort in the community. This is a time for everyone to come together and show Aline how much she is appreciated and how grateful we are for all she has done. We are asking for a minimum donation of $10 from everyone, but feel free to donate any amount. If anyone can’t make the program and wants to donate, contact one of the individuals listed below.
The special guest choir will be Second Baptist Church Choir from Starkville, MS.
There will also be a number of other choirs and soloists performing. Mayor Will Hill will also be a part of the program. “We’re asking everyone to come out Sunday and make this program a huge success.”
