The Louisville High School basketball teams faced a big challenge this week, as they were to play four games.
After visiting Noxapater on Monday and Meridian High School on Tuesday, the LHS Wildcats are set to host Nettleton in a key region match-up on Friday before visiting Starkville on Saturday.
Last week Louisville swept a pair of games from Winona, before losing twice to Noxubee County,
The Lady Wildcats used a 22 point, 15 rebound performance from Tyesha Davis to roll past Winona 68-27, while Tyeisha Griffin scored 19 points and Diamond Wraggs had 11 rebounds.
Roderick Jackson had 16 points and eight assists in the ‘Cats 56-48 win over Winona, while Dontae Jones picked up 12 points to go with 14 rebounds.
The Louisville boys dropped a close game to Noxubee County by the score of 58-57 on Saturday, while the LHS girls fell to Noxubee 57-48.
Roderick Jackson scored 11 points for the Louisville boys, while Moharran Jackson had eight. Griffin had 15 points and six steals for the Lady Wildcats, with Davis getting 10 points, 12 rebounds and six blocked shots and Diamond Love scoring 12 points to go with five steals.
