Blood drive set for Noxapater on March 26

The United Blood Services Bloodmobile will be at Noxapater High School from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 26. United Blood Services is this area’s non-profit community blood provider serving patients in Mississippi and West Alabama.

It takes over 250 blood donations everyday to meet the needs of area patients.  Volunteer blood donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health in order to donate blood.

Additional height and weight requirements apply to donors who are 22 years old and younger.  Donors who are 16 must have signed permission from parents or guardians.

United Blood Services is opened 6 days a week in Tupelo at 4326 South Eason Blvd.  There hours are the following: Monday and Wednesday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.  United Blood Services is closed on Sundays.
