La Leche League of Louisville meets monthly on the 4th Saturday of each month from 1-2 p.m. at the County Extension Building. La Leche League offers mother-to-mother support, leaders accredited by La Leche League International, latest breastfeeding information, 24-hour telephone help, and lending library. Counselor on staff
Winston Baptist Association has a Christian counselor on staff and in the office each Thursday beginning at 9 a.m. Please call Lisa Painter at 662-617-4969 for appointments.

AA meets
Louisville/Winston County Alcoholics Anonymous will now meet Monday and Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. on at East Louisville Baptist Choir Room.

Relay for Life Bunko Night
March 31
The Winston County Relay for Life will host its annual Relay for Life Bunko on March 31 at the Market Café from 6-8 p.m. The cost, including a t-shirt will be $25. To eat and play will be $15. If you would like a t-shirt, size and money will need to be submitted by March 21. All proceeds will go to Winston County Relay for Life. Red Hills Photo Club
4th Thurs. each month
The Winston County Paparazzi are meeting on fourth Thursday of each month. The Red Hills Photo Club is working with the MSU Extension Office in Louisville to offer monthly meetings for photography enthusiasts. Master Gardeners of Winston County
The Master Gardeners would like to enlist the help of the citizens of Winston County for candidates for the Yard of the Month. They will be looking for aesthetically pleasing yards. If you have a yard you would like to nominate, or if you would like to nominate another citizen of Winston County please call the Extension Office at 662-773-3091. Noxubee Nature Series
The next quarterly Noxubee Nature Series will be held on Thursday May 3rd at 6:30 p.m. in the Refuge Visitor Center.  MSU’s Dr. Scott Rush will present “Little Birds, Big Birds, and Things in Between.”  The public is invited.

Chicken plate fundraiser
East Winston Fire Department will be selling grilled half-chicken plates on April 2 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the fire department on Highway 14 East. Plates will be $8.00.

Trail Ride April 2
A Trail Ride will be held on Saturday, April 2 in south Winston County. It will leave the Indian Springs church parking lot at 10 a.m. and return in 4½-6 hours. Bring your sack lunch for the trail. Food will be served at the end of the ride by the ladies of Indian Springs.
The church is located at the intersection of Hwy. 25 and Mt. Calvary Church Road.

DARE to host graduation
The DARE of Winston County will host a graduation ceremony for participants on April 15 at Louisville Elementary at 9 a.m.

Ladies Conference April 1
Providence Baptist Church in Ackerman will hold its 10th Annual Ladies Conference on Friday night, April 1st at 5:30 p.m. in the family life center. Once again our program will feature Karen Peck and New River, three time Grammy Award nominees and two time GMA Dove award winning southern gospel group. Come join us for a night of music, worship and fun. Admission is free. Nursery will be provided for children kindergarten and under only. Cake and coffee will be served following the program.

2016 Volunteer Awards Banquet
Are you a resident of Clay, Oktibbeha or Winston Co. who volunteered during 2015?

ECCC to Hold Cheerleader Tryouts April 2
East Central Community College in Decatur will hold tryouts for the 2015-16 Cheerleading Squad at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016 in the South Campus Gymnasium. There is a non-refundable $25 fee for all participants.
Pre-tryout clinics will be held from 7 to 9 p.m.  March 29-31. During these sessions, participants will learn the cheer, fight song routine and stunts necessary for tryouts. Those wishing to tryout must attend at least one clinic. Those selected for the squad receive full-tuition scholarships.

Winston Guards #2643, United Daughters of the Confederacy, will meet Monday, April 4, 2016, at 5:30 at Lake Tiak -O’Khata.

Spring Revival Service April 10
Pastor Benjamin M. Pittman and the Mt. Moriah M.B. Church Family of Louisville cordially invite you to worship and share with us during our Spring Revival Service.  Revival Service begins Sunday, April 10, 2016 and will end Wednesday, April 13, 2016.  Sunday night service begins at 6:00 pm.  Service begins Monday through Wednesday night at 7:00 pm.  Rev. William C. Brown, pastor of Fifth Street M.B. Church of Meridian, Mississippi and New Vision M.B. Church of DeKalb, Mississippi is the guest evangelist.

April 17 to 21
Calvary Baptist Church on Old Robinson Road in Louisville will host a revival April 17-21. On Sunday services will begin at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Service will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday through Thursday. Evangelist Rev. Randall Creel, speaker; Steve and Becky Carver, music; Rev. Johnny Collins, pastor.

Pleasant Ridge M.B Church Youth Revival April 3rd -5th 2016
Pleasant Ridge M.B. Church Youth Revival will be April 3rd-5th at 7:00pm nightly. The Minister for this revival will be Pastor Bobby Carter; Pastor of the Uncompromised Word Church in Louisville, MS. Pastor Glass and the Pleasant Ridge Church Family welcomes all to come and be blessed.

Passion Play
Kosciusko First United Methodist Church will present its annual Passion Play, His Last Days, a live one-hour outdoor drama on March 24-26 at 8 p.m. on the church’s lawn located at the corner of E. Washington and N. Natchez Streets. His Last Days is a moving presentation with over 20 outdoor scenes. Admission is free, a nursery is provided, and parking for cars is conveniently located nearby. RHAA Annual Meeting
The Red Hills Art Association annual meeting will be held on March 24th at Market Place Café at 11 a.m. (pay for your own meal). The business meeting will be held at 12 p.m. The 2016 Annual Art Competition flyer will be handed out at the meeting. Members not attending will receiver their flyer later in April. New members are welcome. The 38th Annual RHAA Competition will be May 14-28.

Community Spring Fling
On Saturday, April 2nd, there will be an 8-mile long rummage sale. Take Highway 15 South, and turn onto Young Crossing Road in the Center Ridge Community. The yard sale will be on both sides of Young Crossing Road and will end at the Noxapater Post Office. Gates of Joy church to celebrate Women’s Day
The Gates of Joy Church will have a Women’s Day program beginning at 2 p.m., April 3. The speaker will be Msn. Linda Loving of Tabernacle of Praise COGIC.

Gates of Joy church to host spring revival
The Gates of Joy Church revival will be April 18 through 20. The speaker will be Elder Terrell Harris of Center Hill COGIC. Revival will begin at 7:30 each night.

Cornerstone Free Clinic bake sale
The United Methodist Churches of Winston County will have a Bake Sale in front of Tabor Drug Store on March 25,2016 at 7am.  Proceeds will go to the Cornerstone Free Clinic.  This is a non-profit organization.  For further information call 662-773-9343.

Mt. Pisgah M.B. Church  Revival
Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church will hold its annual Spring revival on April 13-15, 2016 (Wednesday- Friday) at 7:00 pm. nightly.  The guest speaker is  Judge Lorenzo Carpenter from LongView Baptist Church of Starkville, Mississippi.  Good Friday Program to be held

Revival to be held
The Hope for the Hurting Tent Revival will be held April 3-8 at 7 p.m. nightly. There will be powerful preaching each night by Pastor Gary Caudill and Evangelist Jerimiah Dixon. Local groups will be singing each night. Youth night is Friday, April 8th. The tent will be located at 29 W. Main Street in Noxapater near the 4 way stop. Family Center Parent Workshops
April is “Assessment” month at the Family Center. The workshops will inform parents about the different assessments students will take and how to prepare for them. The Free Health Fair, opened to the public, will offer different medical assessments and health new. Come and be apart of our informative events. Pre-K through 12th grade parents are welcome to come April 14th at 5 p.m. at the Family Center. Dr. Nola Bryant will do a presentation on “Testing Information.” The free health fair, which is open to the public, will be April 20th from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Family Center. The Health Team will do a presentation on “Screening/Health News.”

Bake sale for Relay for LIfe
Winston Medical Center will host a bake sale in efforts to raise money for the Winston County Relay for Life on Thursday, April 24, 2015 at the Winston Medical Center Nursing Home.  The bake sale will begin at 8:30 am and will end by 1:00 pm.  For more information contact Brandi Krajewski at 662-779-5111 or Brittany Jones at 662-779-5108.  Lots of homemade cakes, pies, cookies, and other desserts!  Will also have items from the Ole Country Bakery available.

Winston Therapy Services is selling T-shirts for the 5K that will be held on April 23, 2016 at Ivy Park.  To pre-register for the race stop by Winston Therapy Services and fill out a form and pre-pay for your shirt!
