Town of Noxapater Farmer’s Market will host a Farmer’s market from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. each Saturday

La Leche League to meet
La Leche League of Louisville meets monthly on the 4th Saturday of each month from 1-2 p.m. at the County Extension Building. La Leche League offers mother-to-mother support, leaders accredited by La Leche League International, latest breastfeeding information, 24-hour telephone help, and lending library. AA meets
Louisville/Winston County Alcoholics Anonymous will now meet Monday and Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. on at East Louisville Baptist Choir Room.

Red Hills Photo Club
The Winston County Paparazzi are meeting on fourth Thursday of each month. The Red Hills Photo Club is working with the MSU Extension Office in Louisville to offer monthly meetings for photography enthusiasts. Master Gardeners of Winston County
The Master Gardeners would like to enlist the help of the citizens of Winston County for candidates for the Yard of the Month.  They will be looking for aesthetically pleasing yards.

Building Strong Families (BSF) will be offering Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University for FREE, in conjunction with 8 Habits of a Successful Marriage. Cornerstone Clinic Fundraiser August 8 at 5pm
Louisville First United Methodist Church in Louisville, is hosting an event in an effort to raise money for Cornerstone Clinic. The fundraiser is Saturday, August 8 at 5pm.
Cornerstone Clinic is a free health clinic for those individuals in our community who are unable to pay for healthcare needs.

Men and Youth Retreat
International Rhema Outreach Center of Jackson, Mississippi will be hosting their annual”I am men’s and young men’s retreat “August 7-9 here in Louisville at Lake Tiak-O’Khata Resort. We’re asking all churches and ministries to join us for this life changing event! Retreat will include a basketball and fishing tournament, entrepreneurial luncheon and prayer breakfast. Friday and Saturday night services are free to the public. Ages: 15 and up.
Cost: $100 includes (lodging, meal and retreat t- shirt) Sat only: $35 (includes meal and shirt)

Appreciation Celebration
Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate their Pastor and Wife (Reverend and Sis. Donald Mark Bryant) 15th year Appreciation Program on July 29, 20145 (Third Sunday), evening at 3:00 pm. The guest speaker for the occasion will be Dr. Charlie Barnes from Mt. Pelier M.B. Church of Starkville, MS. A fellowship meal will be served following the program. The public is welcome and invited to share with Mt. Pisgah M.B. Church, Rev. Donald Bryant, pastor.

The 65th Reunion of the McMillin and Related Families of Louisville & Winston County, MS  will be held on August 1 and 2nd at Lake Tiak O’Khata. Saturday,  August 1  –  Cook-out in the Grove at 6 pm.  Bring a side dish or dessert, if possible

Pleasant Grove to Host Community Day
Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church will host a community day at the old Jets Baseball Field across from Mt. Bell Church on July 25, beginning at 12 noon. There will be food, softball games, and other fun activities. Proceeds from food and donations will help Mrs. Connie Coleman, wife of Mr. Grover Coleman. Vacation Bible School

Estes Lodge 63A Fish Fry
Estes Lodge 63A will be selling fish plates on Saturday, August 8, from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Estes Lodge Hall located at 127 Day Street, Louisville, MS. The menu will consist of catfish, hushpuppies, baked beans, cole slaw and potato salad. Three-piece fish plates will cost $8.00 and four piece fish plates will be $10. Cold drinks and bottled water will cost $1.00 each. Proceeds will go toward the Estes Lodge 63A Scholarship fund. Toy Drive and Beauty Pageant set for August 29
The Mississippi Dixie Heartland All Crown Pageant and Annual Blair Batson Toy Drive will be held August 29 at Choctaw County Community Center in Ackerman, MS. This year our toy drive is done in memory of Miss Carmen Smith. Carmen passed away June 29. Due to a traumatic brain injury she received Carmen spent time at Batson. This toy drive will be a wonderful tribute to a very special little girl. Paperwork is available now – please call or text 662-803-8555 we can email the form. Fundraiser to be held
All are invited to come out and share with us in a fundraiser for Mrs. Lucille Metts, Mrs. Lana Deese, Mr. Eddie Charles Walker, Mrs. Angela Gay, and Ms. Tara Cistrunk, all cancer patients; and five-year-old Hunter Rogers who has leukemia.
Scheduled events will include a catfish and grilled chicken plate lunch sell from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. A gospel concert will also be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Appearing on program will be Pleasant Grove Choir, Mt. Moriah Choir, The Wells Singers of Noxapater, the Sunshine Boys, and the Harvest Choir. We are asking that you please give a $10.00 donation. Friends and Family Reunion to be held
The Webb and Lizzy Goodin Friends and Family reunion will be held at Clark County State Park off Hwy 45 in Pavilion 1 on Sunday, August 2nd. Bring a covered dish and drinks.

Revival to be held
Revival services for Mt. Olive Church of God in Christ, 1822 Hull Road, will be held July 26-29, 2015. Services will begin at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The speaker will be Elder Willie Jackson of Jackson, MS. Elder Freddie D. Plair, Sr. is the pastor.

Turnipseed Recreational Park Donation Rally
The Turnipseed Recreational Park Board will host a donation rally on August 1, 2015, at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 3083 Bethany Ebenezer Road. Fish sandwiches will be sold for $3.00 and hotdogs will be free. The goal is to develop a safe and fun environment for their community and children.
