Calvary Apostolic Church will begin Walking in Wellness every Saturday beginning February 1 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Ivy Park. Church members and other volunteers will be walking in the park.
AARP TAX-AIDE offers help
Get free help with tax returns! Beginning February 5, (each Wednesday and Friday through tax season) AARP Tax-Aide volunteers will assist taxpayers with their 2013 tax returns 8:45 AM – 12:45 PM at the Winston County Library.

Rose Pruning Workshop to be held

Prevent Bullying workshop to be held
March is “Prevent Bullying” month at the Family Center. The workshops will inform parents about recognizing the signs and preventing bullying in our schools and communities. The counselors of the Louisville Municipal School District will provide valuable information to help combat bullying. Latisha Butler with HealthHelp Mississippi (Starkville, MS) will return to the Winston County Library on Monday, March 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mrs. Butler will answer questions about the Affordable Care Act and go through the website with anyone who needs help filing for a health insurance application, or if anyone just wants to see if they are eligible for insurance under the ACA, and how much it would be. This will be the only date in March that she will be able to come to the library, before the March 31 deadline for filing for insurance.
