Airport board meeting First Monday
The Louisville-Winston County Airport Authority board announces that it will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting on the first Monday of each month. Meetings will begin at 5:30 pm at the City of Louisville board room.
The Louisville Board of Aldermen regular monthly meetings are the first and third Tuesday in each month. The meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. and are held in the city hall boardroom.
The Winston County Board of Supervisors monthly meetings are the first and third Monday in each month. The meetings begin at 9 a.m. and are held in the County Courthouse boardroom.

The Winston County Paparazzi are meeting on fourth Thursday of each month. The Winston County Paparazzi is working with the MSU Extension Office in Louisville to offer monthly meetings for photography enthusiasts. Camp I Believe
Gentiva Hospice will sponsor “Camp I Believe” at Camp Lake Stephens in Oxford from August 8-10 . This camp is for children ages 7-14 who have experienced the death of a loved one. Open to children across North Mississippi area. Camps are organized and operated by skilled professionals such as social workers, bereavement and spiritual care coordinators, and trained volunteers. Mt. Hermon honors Pastor and wife
Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church, 606 Little St., West Point, celebrates the seventh anniversary of Pastor Tim and First Lady Glenda Brinkley July 20, during the morning and afternoon worship services. The theme is “Honoring Our Pastor” from Psalm 37:23. The morning speaker is Minister Joe Smith and the afternoon speaker is the Rev. Anthony McIntosh, pastor of Mt. Bell Baptist Church, Louisville. At 10:30 a.m. a special ceremony releasing a bouquet of balloons with a special prayer attached will take place on the church grounds. Choctaw County Farmers’ Market to hold special events in July
The Choctaw County Farmers’ Market will have two special events this month.
July 11 at 9:00am food demonstration by Extension Nutrition Educator Pam Awad. Master Gardeners will also be selling newly made Papercrete flower pots.
July 18 at 9:00am Ashley Peeples Fondren of Ackerman will demonstrate how to make easy, delicious foods from blueberries, including blueberry salsa.
The Farmers’ Market will be held every Friday of July from 7:30-10:30am at the intersection of Hwys 12 & 15 in Ackerman. The market will be in French Camp Historic District Saturday, July 12 from 8:00am-12:00. Anyone who has extra vegetables or fruit to sell should call Darrell Banks, Agriculture & Natural Resources/4H, at the Choctaw County Extension Office at 285-6337. There is no vendor fee.
