AARP Tax Service
AARP Tax Service will provide free help with taxes to people. They will be at the Winston County Library every Wednesday from 9 am – 2 pm beginning Wednesday, February 8 – Wednesday, April 5. They will also be available at the library on Tuesday, April 18, which is the last day to file taxes this year.

Red Hill Festival to host Car Show
The Red Hills Festival will host a car show Saturday, May 27 at the First Baptist Parking lot. This will be an open car show with registration from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.

La Leche League meeting 4th Sat. each month
La Leche League of Louisville meets monthly on the 4th Saturday of each month from 1-2 p.m. at the County Extension Building. Master Gardeners of Winston County
The Master Gardeners would like to enlist the help of the citizens of Winston County for candidates for the Yard of the Month. They will be looking for aesthetically pleasing yards. Military Mama’s network
There is a new group starting in Winston County called Military Mama’s network. This group will be not only a support group for our military mama’s but also our military people. Fathers, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, grandma’s, grandpa’s and cousins too can all join. We just asked that you fully support our military. We will send care packages from home, cards, letters, and will offer aid to the home front where and when we can. The first meeting will be March 18th at 5:30 at City Hall. 2017 Operation Gratitude Campaign
In honor of National Volunteer Week, VS is hosting an Operation Gratitude Campaign. Volunteers are needed to write appreciation letters or create patriotic drawings on 8.5 x 11 paper to show support for our deployed troops serving our nation to keep us safe. All letters and artwork submitted to Volunteer Starkville by April 28th will be mailed to Operation Gratitude to be included in care packages sent to deployed troops. 8th Annual Red Hills Festival 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 8:00 AM.
The Junior Auxiliary of Louisville will be hosting the 8th Annual Red Hills Festival 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 8:00 AM. Diva Race and Timing Services will be present this year to conduct the race timing and presentation of awards. Cash awards will be rewarded to the top male and female winner. The top finisher in the 1 Mile Fun Run will also receive a cash prize. A Drawing will be held for two additional cash prizes for the Fun Run participants . Medallions will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age group of the 5K Run/Walk. Pre-registration is $20.00. (Will be $25.00 on Race Day). Pre-registered participants will receive a T -Shirt if registration is received by / post marked by May 7, 2017. Registration forms can be picked up at the Chamber of Commerce or from any JA member.

At our regular monthly meeting on April 11 a fish fry was held with guest Sheriff Jason Pugh and Louisville Police Chief LM Claiborne. They were presented with a check for 3 bod cameras for each department. Checks were presented by Post Commander David Dunlap and Poster Quarter Master David Taylor.

Youth Fishing Derby
