Driver Safety Class LHS Night of Fun Dec. 6 The Louisville High School Family Science Class wll host a night of fun Thursday, December 6 at 6 p.m. in the school auditorium. The East Central Community College Gospel Choir will be the guest. Also, the Family Science Class will present a mock wedding. Louisville children’s community musical theater set for Dec. 7 Christmas Cheer is in the air, but it’s just not Christmas without Sugar Plum Fairies, Toy Soldiers, the Rat King, and the Nutcracker. Come join the Louisville Children’s Community Musical Theatre for a sweet holiday treat. Their production of “The Nutcracker” will be held Friday, December 7, 2012 and Saturday, Dec. 8th at 7 p.m. both nights in the East Louisville Baptist Church family life center. Talent Show set for Saturday, Dec. 8 On December 8, 2012, Mainly Music of Louisville, MS, will be hosting a talent show contest to be held in front of the Winston County Courthouse. We would love to have any and all musicians, slots available for solitary, duet, and group artists. Each act will be allowed five minutes. We will have at least 3 different judges for the contest. The show starts at 9 a.m. and lasts until the last person has completed their performance. Prizes are first place is a $100 gift certificate from Mainly Music, second place is a gift $50 certificate from Mainly Music, and third place is a $25 gift certificate from Mainly Music.
Ball book signing Francis Stewart Ball, author of “Front Porch Connection,” will have a book signing on December 8. She will be a the Cuppa restuarant from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the Carl Jackson concert. Her book is about growing up in Winston County during the depression years and beyond.

Men’s day program Dec. 9 Mt. Sanai Missionary Baptist Church’s Men’s Day Program will be on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Special FBI Agent Jeffrey Artis. Agent Artis is assigned to the Jackson Division of the FBI, and he is currently assigned to investigate allegations of civil rights violations. Winston County off-season football conditioning program Lawrence Sangster, former running back and graduate of Louisville High School, will begin an off-season football conditioning training camp here in Winston County. This Program is designed to help develop our 7th-12th grade players during off-season. This program will be from January 7th- August 1, 2013. There will be a monthly fee of $100 per player. Each player must present a copy of proof of insurance in order to participate in the program. The players will work on conditioning activities each week from Monday-Thursday from 4p.m.-7p.m. If interested, please come sign up at the Louisville Coliseum on Saturday, January 5th, from 10 a.m. until 5p.m. The first Saturday of each month will serve as sign up or resign up day for all participants.
