Highway Patrol and other patrolmen who graduated from the Winston Co. Public Schools. They will discussd duties of an investigator.

Bluegrass Gospel Concert Jan. 6 There will be a Bluegrass Gospel Concert featuring Alan Sibley & The Magnolia Ramblers on Sunday, January 6 at 6 p.m. at New Zion Baptist Church near Ackerman. New Zion Baptist Church is located west of Ackerman on South Union Road. A love offering will be received. Everyone is invited to attend a great night of Gospel music and Christian fellowship. MDC to visit Jan. 8 Discovering the wonders of science and math come in many forms and can be accomplished in a variety of ways. The National Science Center Mobile Discovery Center will visit Nanih Waiya School on January 8 and 9, 2013. Students and teachers alike will be immersed in the excitement of hands-on science. AA Meets Louisville/Winston County Alcoholics Anonymous will now meet Monday and Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. beginning the first week of January 2012 on the second floor of the community house. Meetings until then will still take place on Wednesday and Friday nights at 7:30 p.m.

Spiritual event set for January 12 Spiritual Healing event to be held at the Strand Theater on Church Street in Downtown Louisville on Saturday, January 12. NAACP to honor MLK January 19 The Winston County Branch of the NAACP will celebrate the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday Saturday, January 19, 2013 immediately following the parade, approximately 11:00 A.M there will be a short program at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 142 Union Chapel Road. The speaker will be Dr. K. C. Morrison, Professor and Head Dept. of Political Science and Public Administration at Mississippi State University. Walking in Wellness Winston County Self Help Cooperative in conjunction with the Diabetes Coalition is Walking in Wellness has taken a winter break from the walk until February.

The Winston County Paparazzi The Winston County Paparazzi is working with the MSU Extension Office in Louisville to offer monthly meetings for photography enthusiasts. La Leche League of Louisville La Leche League of Louisville meets monthly on the 4th Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the County Extension Building. Off-season conditioning program Lawrence Sangster, former running back and graduate of Louisville High School, will begin an off-season football conditioning training camp here in Winston County. This Program is designed to help develop our 7th-12th grade players during off-season. This program will be from January 7th- August 1, 2013. There will be a monthly fee of $100 per player. Each player must present a copy of proof of insurance in order to participate in the program. The players will work on conditioning activities each week from Monday-Thursday from 4p.m.-7p.m. If interested, please come sign up at the Louisville Coliseum on Saturday, January 5, from 10 a.m. until 5p.m. The first Saturday of each month will serve as sign up or resign up day for all participants.
