Winston Medical center will be selling pulled pork plates on friday,
april 5 from 11:00 a.m. until. the cost is $6.00 which includes

A Choctaw County Flea Market will be held April 6 in Ackerman. There
is no vendor fee. Applications are available at the Choctaw County

Trail ride April 6
A Trail Ride will be held on Saturday, April 6th in south Winston
County. It will leave the Indian Springs church parking lot at 10
a.m. and return in 5-6 hours. Bring your sack lunch for the trail.
Food will be served at the end of the ride by the ladies of Indian

Moriah revival April 7
The Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church will hold its 2013 Spring
Revival Services begining Sunday April 7, 2013 and ending Wednesday
April 10, 2013. Service will begin at seven o’clock each evening.
The evangelist will be Rev. Nathaniel Houston, pastor of the Miller
Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Macon, Mississippi. Please join

Annual program April 7
Greensboro C. M. E. Church Family and Pastor Carl Swanigan will be
having their annual Missionary Program the first Sunday, April 7,

A Benefit will be held in honor of Wayne Burchfield on April 6, 2013

Greensboro Day Celebration (Greensboro Community) is April 6
The Annual Greensboro Day Celebration will be Saturday, April 6,
2013, at Frank Taylor’s Place, 1973 Greensboro Road, Louisville, MS.
Please attend the celebration.
The celebration will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a short march/walk from
the corner Greensboro Road and Major Brown Road. The march will end
at Frank Taylor’s Place. Activities at Frank Taylor’s Place will be
from 10:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. There will be food and activities for
everyone. Children participating in the event will have the
opportunity to win small prizes. Greensboro Day is an occasion for

April 9, 2013
Red Hills Senior Citizens will meet at the Louisville Coliseum on
Tuesday, April 9th from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. You are welcome to bring

Winston Medical Center Relay for Life Team Hosts Disney Character
Dining Day May 4
Winston Medical Center Relay for Life Team will host a disney
Character Dining Day on May 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Lake Tiak O’
Khata. The cost will be $15.00 per person which includes plenty of
entertainment, lunch, and door prizes. There will be “disney”
characters such as Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Snow White, Cinderella,
Tinkerbell, and several more on hand to mingle and entertain the
children. Paige’s Photos will be on hand to take 4×6 photos with the
characters for $5.00 each. The deadline to purchase tickets will be

Church Carnival May 4
Mount Pleasant No 2 M. B Church Dance Ministry will sponsor their

Elite Cheer May 11
North Mississippi Elite Cheer is going to host cheer tryouts for its
competitive cheer squad on May 11, 2012 in Ackerman, Mississippi.
Anyone who wishes to advance in tumbling skills, cheerleading, and
advanced stunts will benefit from this organization. NME is looking
for kids ages 3 years to 18 years of age who are boys or girls

Spelling contest May 31
Do you have what it takes to stand against the rest. Sign up to
participate in I’ll Rise End of School Spelling Bee coming May 31,
2013 and June 1, 2013.
Pre-register starts now and ends March 31, 2013. Late registration
ends April 30, 2013
Sign up Fees: $15 before March 31, 2013, $25 before April 30, 2013.
Payment must be received along with signup sheet in order to hold
your child’s spot in the Spelling Bee.
All Mississippi Public Private, and Home Schooled Children are
encouraged to compete. No area restriction all children are welcome
to participate.
Grades Competing: Head Start – 8th. A cash prize up to $350 or 1st,
2nd and 3rd place will be given.
Pick up a copy of the Spelling Bee packet at your local library,

Walking in Wellness each Saturday
A Walking and Wellness group will be walking Saturdays from 9:00am –
10 am at Ivy Park in Louisville. All are invited to come enjoy the
exercise and fun.

Louisville/Winston County Alcoholics Anonymous will now meet Monday
and Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. beginning the first week of January
2012 on the second floor of the community house. Meetings until then
will still take place on Wednesday and Friday nights at 7:30 p.m.

The Winston County Paparazzi is working with the MSU Extension Office
in Louisville to offer monthly meetings for photography enthusiasts.
The meetings are the fourth Thursday of each month at the MSU
