Library party March 9
The Winston County Library is throwing a birthday party for Dr. Seuss
on Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 10:00 – 11:30. Children in K-4 –
3rd grade are invited for fun, games and snacks. As a special treat,
the Cat In The Hat will be there, too! Children need to call the

The Union Chapel Male Choir will celebrate their annual Men’s Day

Revival services March 11
New Zion M. B. Church will be hold Spring Revival Services the week
of March 11-15 2012, with Rev. David Harris of Mt. Vernon M. B.

Spring revival March 12
The Pastor and members of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church
family would like to invite churches and choir to Annual Spring
Revival Services to be held on Sunday, March 10, 2013 through Tuesday

Winston County area AARP Chapter #2859 will hold their March 13, 2013
meeting in the City Hall at 2:00 p.m. Ivory Craig, Associate State
Director will be at this meeting .
Members of our group will also be going to the Care Center on March
20, 2013 at 2:00p.m.
Fifth Year Anniversary Services March 17
Endtime Sanctuary UPC will be celebrating their fifth year
anniversary services March 17, 2013. The church is located at 202
East College Street in Louisville. Sunday morning begins at 10:05
P.M. Speaker for the service will be Rev. Lloyd Adcock, from
Brandon, formerly from Philadelphia. Pastor and Mrs. Marlon Adcock
invite everyone to come out and celebrate with them and their church

Youth revival March 18
Mount Cannie Missionary Baptist Church of Louisville, Ms will be
having their Youth Revival Monday March 18- Wednesday March 20, 2013.
The revival will begin each night at 7:30 P.M. The guest speaker will
be Evangelist Essie Jackson from Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist
Church. The public is invited to attend.
Nanih Waiya FAFSA Day for Seniors March 19
FAFSA Day for Seniors will be held at Nanih Waiya Attendance Center
on Tuesday, March 19 from 8:30 to 2:30 p.m. Students will receive
one-on-one assistance in completing federal (FAFSA) and state forms
for college financial aid. Please contact Tammy Parkes to set up an
appointment. Parents are encouraged to attend this appointment with
their child. Appointments will be on a first-come first-served basis.

Singing set for March 24
Mt Calvary Baptist Church of Louisville will have a gospel singing
program Sunday, March 24 at 3:00 p.m. The special groups will be The
Psalm Trio from Philadelphia, MS and the Gospel Soul Searches from
Attala County. $250.00 in cash will be given away and lunch will be
served after this program.

Louisville High School Pre-Registration for upcoming 10th, 11th, and
12th graders will be held in the students’ English classes during
the week of February 11th-15th. The counselor will advise each
student individually about course selections for next year. A pre-
registration packet was given to every student to discuss with their
parent/guardian on February 6th. It is very important for students
to be present these dates in order to receive individual guidance
from the counselor.

Spelling contest May 31
Do you have what it takes to stand against the rest. Sign up to
participate in I’ll Rise End of School Spelling Bee coming May 31,
2013 and June 1, 2013.
Pre-register starts now and ends March 31, 2013. Late registration

Payment must be received along with signup sheet in order to hold
your child’s spot in the Spelling Bee.
All Mississippi Public Private, and Home Schooled Children are
encouraged to compete. No area restriction all children are welcome
Grades Competing: Head Start – 8th. A cash prize up to $350 or 1st,
2nd and 3rd place will be given.

Walking in Wellness each Saturday
A Walking and Wellness group will be walking Saturdays from 9:00am –
10 am at Ivy Park in Louisville. All are invited to come enjoy the
exercise and fun.
Louisville/Winston County Alcoholics Anonymous will now meet Monday
and Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. beginning the first week of January
2012 on the second floor of the community house. Meetings until then
will still take place on Wednesday and Friday nights at 7:30 p.m.
The Winston County Paparazzi is working with the MSU Extension Office
in Louisville to offer monthly meetings for photography enthusiasts.
The meetings are the fourth Thursday of each month at the MSU
