Summer feeding program planned

2013 Summer Feeding Program, Free meals for all children. The Louisville Municipal School District is participating in the Summer Food Program. Meals will be provided at the sites and times as follows; Breakfast 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m., Lunch 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., at Louisville High School June 3, 2013 – July 31, 2013.

Eiland Middle June 3, 1023 – July 31, 2013, closed July 4th and 5th

Nanih Waiya June 3, 2013 – June 28, 2013; Noxapater June 3, 2013 – June 28, 2013

Calvary Fundraiser June 21st 7 pm

The Miles Reunion will be held Sunday, June 23, at the Pentecostal Campground just south of Noxapater, MS, beginning at 10:30 am. All relatives and friends are invited. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the day.

Pastor Appreciation

June 23, 3 p.m.

Greensboro CME Church Family will have their Pastor six year Appreciation Program on Sunday, June 23 at 3 p.m. The speaker for this program will be Rev. Joe Glass and the Pleasant Ridge M.B. Church family of Noxapater. The public is invited.


Hat Day Program June 23

Mount Calvary Baptist Church will have their second annual hat day program on Sunday, June 23rd, at 3:00 p.m. The guest speakers will be Sister Claudine Carter and Sister Pearlean Edwards. The public is invited to attend and show off those beautiful hats.


Hailey Reunion June 23

The annual Hailey reunion will be held June 23 at the Masonic Lodge in Preston, MS on Hwy 21 North. All family members are invited to attend the potluck. The event will begin at 10:30 am and will include a lunch at noon.


Tennis for Life camp July 15-19

On June 22, 2013, The 4th Saturday in June, There will be Gospel Singing at the Greensboro C.M.E. Church. The event will begin at 6pm, and the address is 2329 Metts Street in Louisville, MS. Patterson Family Reunion June 23, 2013

The James Walter and Alice Richy Patterson Family Reunion will take place Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Land ‘O Lakes in Brooksville, MS. Fish Fry June 22, 2013

Harrington’s Restaurant will be hosting a Fish Fry on Saturday, June 22, 2013. It will begin at 11:00 a.m. The restaurant is located at 606 W. Main, Louisville, MS.


Revival set

Revival services at Camp Ground United Methodist Church will kick off Sunday, June 23 at 5 p.m. with a fellowship meal followed at 6 with singing by the Wells Family and preaching at 7 with the Rev Kyle Ivey. services will continue through Tuesday, June 25 at 7 nightly.


Gospel singing

The Cowboy Church in Vaiden will host a gospel singing at 6 p.m. June 22. The church is located at 1557 CR #5.

The Master’s Quartet of Booneville, Crossville Quartet of Pearl (formerly Pearl River Quartet), Chuck Clark of Iuka, Joy Card and Linda Odom will perform. Pastor’s Appreciation

Maple Spring United Methodist Church is having a Pastor’s Appreciation for Rev. David Malone on Sunday, June 23rd at 3:00 p.m.

The Reverend Ronald Anthony from Asbury and St. Peter’s United Methodist Church in Macon, MS will be the guest speaker.


VBS set

South Louisville Baptist Church will host Kingdom Rock Vacation Bible School June 24-28th, 8:30-11:30 for ages4 – entering 6th grade. Pre-registration form on Facebook at SLBC or on June 24th at 8:00.


Shots required for school

All 7th grade students must have the 7th grade immunization shot before school begins on August 5th. Immunization shots can be given at your local health department or pediatric clinic. If you have any questions please contact the Eiland Middle School office or your local health department.


Walking in Wellness each Saturday

A Walking and Wellness group will be walking Saturdays from 9:00am – 10 am at Ivy Park in Louisville. All are invited to come enjoy the exercise and fun.


AA Meets

Louisville/Winston County Alcoholics Anonymous will now meet Monday and Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. beginning the first week of January 2012 on the second floor of the community house. Meetings until then will still take place on Wednesday and Friday nights at 7:30 p.m.


The Winston County Paparazzi on fourth Thurs of each month

The Winston County Paparazzi is working with the MSU Extension Office in Louisville to offer monthly meetings for photography enthusiasts. La Leche League of Louisville meets monthly on the 4th Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the County Extension Building. La Leche League offers mother-to-mother support, leaders accredited by La Leche League International, latest breastfeeding information, 24-hour telephone help, and lending library.
