Benefit Auction July 5

Benefit Auction July 5, 2013 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Catfish Opry. Proceeds go to the Lee Weeks Family, who lost their house and all contents to a fire a couple of weeks ago. There will be antiques, household items, something for everyone.

Book Fair July 10

Winston Medical Center Nursing Home is having its annual Book Fair on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 in the Activity Room at the nursing home from 9 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend. For more information contact Brandi Krajewski at 662-779-5111.

Wess Chapel Baptist Church VBS July 8-11

Wess Chapel Baptist Church on McLeod Road will hold “Kingdom Rock” Vacation Bible School July 8-11 from 6:00-8:00pm. Kids ages 4 through 12 are invited to learn how to stand strong for God.

Revival July 14

Chrystal Ridge Baptist Church will be having a Revival July 14-July 17. The event will begin Sunday, July 14, at 11am and 6:30pm. It will continue Monday through Wednesday at 7pm. Brother Danny Irving will be preaching, and Brother Charles Rook is the pastor. Everyone is invited.

Pleasant Grove U.M. Church Parade of Colors Program July 14

Retreat Fundraiser

The Winston County Self-Help 4-H Club and Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Youth Retreat Fundraiser will take place Saturday, July 13, 2013. It will be from 10:30 am to 1:30pm in Union Hall located on Hwy 397. The retreat will be in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Eaves Reunion July 13, 2013

The descendants of Joel Elisha Eaves and Minnie Carr Eaves will hold their annual reunion on Saturday July 13, at Ellison Ridge Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Doors will open at 10:45 am. Cook something delicious-Round up all the children and come on down for a great day of fun and fellowship with door prizes too.

Tennis for Life camp July 15-19

Tennis for Life camp will be held this summer, July 15-19, 08:30-10:00 am at the Ivy Park tennis courts. Tennis for Life is a Christian tennis camp, open to youth 9-12 years old. For more information or to register, contact: Mike Robertson at 662-312-2019.

Shots required for school

All 7th grade students must have the 7th grade immunization shot before school begins on August 5th. Immunization shots can be given at your local health department or pediatric clinic. If you have any questions please contact the Eiland Middle School office or your local health department.

Walking in Wellness each Saturday

A Walking and Wellness group will be walking Saturdays from 9:00am – 10 am at Ivy Park in Louisville. All are invited to come enjoy the exercise and fun.

AA Meets

Louisville/Winston County Alcoholics Anonymous will now meet Monday and Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. beginning the first week of January 2012 on the second floor of the community house. Meetings until then will still take place on Wednesday and Friday nights at 7:30 p.m.

The Winston County Paparazzi on fourth Thurs of each month

The Winston County Paparazzi is working with the MSU Extension Office in Louisville to offer monthly meetings for photography enthusiasts. The meetings are the fourth Thursday of each month at the MSU Extension Office in Louisville at 6pm and are open to everyone. For more information call 662-803-8222 after 6 p.m.

La Leche League of Louisville

La Leche League of Louisville meets monthly on the 4th Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the County Extension Building. La Leche League offers mother-to-mother support, leaders accredited by La Leche League International, latest breastfeeding information, 24-hour telephone help, and lending library. Summer feeding program planned

2013 Summer Feeding Program, Free meals for all children. The Louisville Municipal School District is participating in the Summer Food Program. Meals will be provided at the sites and times as follows; Breakfast 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m., Lunch 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., at Louisville High School June 3, 2013 – July 31, 2013.
