Host bluegrass event Aug. 24
The Blake Brothers Bluegrass Band of Shreveport, LA will be performing at Salem UMC off Weir-Highpoint Road in McCool Saturday,August 24 at 6 pm. They will perform at Macedonia Baptist Hwy397 Louisville August 25 at 1:30 pm.
Concert-Raffle Drawing August 24
The Louisville Fire Association will be hosting a Bike Ride on August 24, 2013 starting at 6:00 pm. It is open to the public, and costs $20 per bike and $25 with a passenger. There will also be Raffle Drawing at 10:00 pm on August 24 for a custom bike built by Rocky Hill Customs. The Raffle tickets for the bike will be $100 per ticket and include the concert and Bike run. Proceeds go to Louisville Fire Association. There will be a Grayson Capps Concert open to the public at Lake Tiak-O’Khata in the Pine Ridge Lodge later that evening, and the tickets will be $15 each. Revival August 25
Indian Springs Assembly of God will be in revival services Ausust 25 – 30. Service times are Sunday 9:50 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and Monday through Friday 7 p.m. Guest evangelist will be Rev. LHS Class of 1983 Reunion August 30-31

The 2014 Woodmen of the World Senior camp for members age 55+ will be held Sept 30-Oct 2 at Lake Tiak-O’Khata in Louisville, MS. Come join us for some good food, games, fellowship and entertainment. Registration is $80 per member and includes all the meals and entertainment as well as the lodging in either a private hotel room or members can bring their RV and stay in the Lake’s beautiful RV campground. ECCC Collegians Auditions Announced
Auditions will soon be held for the East Central Community College Collegians, announced first-year director Chas Evans.
Evans said tryouts for the popular rock ‘n’ roll group will be held for vocalists, guitarist, bassist, keyboardist, drummer, auxiliary percussionist, acoustic guitarist, trumpet player, trombone player, saxophone player and technicians.
Evans said scholarships and credit hours are available to members selected for the talented group.
Students interested in becoming a “Collegian” must attend a special pre-audition meeting scheduled at 3 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2013, in the Vickers Fine Arts Center on the Decatur campus.
Auditions for vocalists will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, and tryouts for instrumentalists are scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, August 22, both in the Vickers Fine Arts Center.
