Historic District meeting Sept. 19

Canoe Day Sept. 21
The Friends of Noxubee Refuge will hold Canoe Day on Bluff Lake on Saturday September 21 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Canoes, kayaks, paddles, and life jackets will be available at no charge. Launching will be near the Cypress Boardwalk.
Fall Fest Sept. 29
All are invited to 1st Annual Fall Revival at The Uncompromised Word Church. The revival will be held during September 29th- October 1st. On Sunday, September 29th, our services will start at 5:00pm. Operation Christmas Child, Countywide kick off Operation Christmas Child is Saturday, September 21, 2013 at First Baptist Church in the Fellowship hall.

Chiefs day Sept. 21
Winston County Chiefs Community Family & Friends Day/ Chicken Plate Sale set for September 21
The staff and parents of the Winston County Chiefs Football Players, and Cheerleaders would like to invite the community of Louisville/Winston County out to their Family and Friends Day, on Saturday, September 21, 2013, beginning at 10:00 am.
The event will be held at the Winston Chiefs Field(Eiland Middle School Field). This will be the Chiefs biggest fundraiser to help support their banquet at the end of the season.
There will be Chicken Plates for sale which will include: 1/2 smoked chicken (breast, leg, thigh, wing) baked beans,corn on the cob, potato salad, & bread for $8.
“Come one, come all, & enjoy some pee-wee football. Bring your lawn chairs, and your tents to this day of a fun/filled event”.
Trail ride Sept. 21
A Trail Ride will be held on Saturday, September 21st in south Winston County. It will leave the Indian Springs church parking lot at 10 a.m. and return in 5-6 hours. Bring your sack lunch for the trail. Food will be served at the end of the ride by the ladies of Indian Springs.

Concert Sept. 21
A Gospel Benefit Concert will be held for Corey Miller on Saturday September 21, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. Pleasant Grove U.M. Church. The concert will feature local choirs and solo singers. Woodmen senior camp Sept. 30
The 2014 Woodmen of the World Senior camp for members age 55+ will be held Sept 30-Oct 2 at Lake Tiak-O’Khata in Louisville, MS. Come join us for some good food, games, fellowship and entertainment. Registration is $80 per member and includes all the meals and entertainment as well as the lodging in either a private hotel room or members can bring their RV and stay in the Lake’s beautiful RV campground. Friends of the Library Sale Oct. 3
