Parent workshops at Family Center Nov. 14

November is “Active Parent” month at the Family Center. This workshop will assist parents with new link on our school web-site called “Active Parent”. The link can be used to give parents access to their child’s grades, attendance, and discipline. The counselors will provide information on how to access this link and navigate the tools on ACTIVE PARENT.

Church Anniversary Nov. 17

The Mt. Pisgah M.B. Church will hold its annual Church Anniversary on(3rd Sunday), November 17, 2013, at 3:00 pm. The guest speaker for the occasion will be Rev. Joe Glass, pastor of Pleasant Ridge M.B. Church at Noxapater. There will be a Pre- Thanksgiving fellowship meal following the event. We welcome the public to attend. Rainbow tea Nov. 17

The mother board of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church will have a rainbow tea on the third Sunday, November 17 at 3:00 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev Anthony Thames and the Oak Grove Church Family. The public is invited to attend. Dr. Michael C. Taylor Jr., is the pastor.

Walking in Wellness each Saturday

A Walking and Wellness group will be walking Saturdays from 9:00am to 10 am at Ivy Park in Louisville. Walk, Exercise and Tennis Every Saturday morning. All are invited to come enjoy the exercise and fun.

La Leche League of Louisville

La Leche League of Louisville meets monthly on the 4th Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the County Extension Building. La Leche League offers mother-to-mother support, leaders accredited by La Leche League International, latest breastfeeding information, 24-hour telephone help, and lending library. Soup and coat event Dec. 14

The Women’s Ministry of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church will host a Soup and Coat give away on Saturday December 14, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The event will take place at the old Union Hall located on Highway 397 South. We will give away coats of All sizes for both adults and children. If anyone has coats that they would like to donate, please call either of the following individuals .
