Observatory hosts ‘Pluto: Icy World of Wonder!’ program

The Rainwater Observatory in French Camp will be offering a free public program for this season called “PLUTO: Icy World of Wonder!” Pluto is one of the most mysterious and distant objects known in our solar system. It takes 248 years to complete one revolution around the Sun. This painting, composed by observatory director Edwin Faughn, was featured on the cover of the Planetary Report Magazine of the Planetary Society and Scientific American magazines.
