CCS yard sale cancelled; items to be donated to relief

From CCS reports

Community Counseling Services is CANCELING our Yard Sale this Friday. Our staff and clients have chosen to celebrate May is Mental Health Month by donating all items collected to those who have lost everything in Louisville! I am so proud to be a part of this decision. We will be taking groups of clients to Louisville in the next few days to visit our programs there and to deliver items collected to several different collection sites so that they learn about giving to others, especially those in a time of need…such an important life lesson! I will be sure to email everyone those pictures and videos as it will be such a news worthy moment.

Secondly, as your community mental health provider, Community Counseling Services is here in times of natural disaster to address the stress and anxiety or counsel those experiencing grief and loss. In situations, like the storms this week in Louisville CCS sets up shop, so to say, in a high traffic area to assist individuals and families with their emotional and mental health needs. The CCS Mobile Crisis Unit is located in the parking lot of the Baptist Church in Louisville and will be open daily from 8 am until 5 pm.

If you can’t make it to the CCS Mobile Crisis Unit during day time hours, call toll free 888-943-3022 for after-hours crisis support. Phone calls are answered by licensed therapists and clinicians. These calls are handled in a professional and confidential manner.
