The Winston County Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding its 57th Annual Banquet on Thursday, March 6 at 6 pm at Lake Tiak O’Khata.
“The banquet is an opportunity to show your support to those who have given the community so much,” said Skelton. “These awards recognize and reward members of the communities who improved the quality of life in Winston County, whether through volunteer work or other contributions.”
The banquet is a night to recognize those in the community for their service over the past year or over their lifetime. Each year the event recognizes The Man and Woman of the Year, Retailer of the Year, Industry of the Year, Forestry Award, Farmer of the Year, an Educator Award and Life Time Achievement Award winner.
“We encourage everyone to purchase their tickets today and come enjoy a night of recognition as well as community celebration,” said Skelton.
This year’s banquet will feature Lt. Governor Tate Reeves as the speaker.
“We are excited to be hosting Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves as part of our annual community recognition event,” said Linda Skelton, Winston County Chamber Director.
Tickets for the event are on sale at the Winston County Chamber of Commerce and are $25 each.
As part of the entertainment Mark Goldbeck will perform during the dining time.
“The banquet is a great networking opportunity to meet other people in the community and discuss moving the community forward even more,” continued Skelton. “We also have several people coming from around the state to participate.”
The Winston County Economic Development Partnership intends to bring the community together and promote commerce. The Chamber offers a means for nearly 200 businesses to work together in providing information, fostering development, and generating support for local business.
