Members of the Flower Ridge United Methodist Church spent Dec. 22 and Dec. 23 night reenacting the story of the first Christmas.
For 31 years, the church has brought the story of Jesus’s birth to life.
“We have been truly blessed to be able to tell this story for so long,” stated the event brochure.
The event which began in 1982 presents the story of the birth of Jesus from the angel speaking to Mary to the birth of Jesus in the manger.
A steady line of cars moved through the story’s depictions during the December 22 event. Volunteers and visitors appeared to enjoy the free event.
“We have never charged admission…because we feel it is our duty to tell this story and make Christmas brighter for everyone,” stated the event brochure.
Over the course of two days, hundreds of people will stop in to view the live nativity scene that has become a part of the annual Christmas celebration in Winston County.
