City, County request right to remove debris from private property

Local leaders of North Mississippi communities unite with one voice to request authority and funding for Private Property Debris Removal (Ppdr) of Sections 403 and 407 of the Stafford Act.
On Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at 10 a.m. in Louisville City Hall, leaders of Itawamba County, Lee County, Winston County, the City of Tupelo, and the City of Louisville will meet to discuss and formally present the need for private property debris removal in respective communities affected by the tremendous damage of the April 28, 2014, tornadoes.
The resolution would The request would have to be approved by FEMA and then the property owner would have to request the help with the board evaluating the situation. The property would have to be declared a health hazard and then cleanup could proceed on the property.
