From press reports
Mississippi Blood Services will be holding a community blood drive on Wednesday, November 26, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Walmart in Louisville. The MBS Donor Coach will be in the parking lot. All donors will receive a T-shirt and a gift card (while supplies last). Donors can now check their total cholesterol on their MBSConnect Account!
“In this season of giving thanks good health often tops the list. But when patients find themselves fighting for their lives because of illness or injury they are sincerely thankful for all the men and women dedicated to getting them back to good health,” Susan Ates, MBS public relations specialist, said. “And when they need blood, those anonymous blood donors are among those they are most thankful to. Be a part of someone’s miracle this Thanksgiving; donate blood.”
Donating blood is safe, simple and it saves lives. Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with signed parental consent, visit our Web site for a copy of the form), weigh at least 110 pounds and have a valid ID. Visit us at msblood.com or call us at (888) 90-BLOOD (902-5663) for information. You can also visit our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/give2live and follow MSbloodservices on Twitter.
