Concert raises funds for local family

By Hanna McCain

It seems as though these past few weeks of April have just flown by. This past weekend my church, Noxapater Baptist partnered with The Way Church of Louisville and hosted a benefit concert for little Hunter Rogers. It was a great success to say the least.
Hunter, who is 4 years old, was recently diagnosed with leukemia. Hunter’s parents, Kerri and Thomas Rogers reside in Louisville.

Adam Crabb, Sean Greer, and the Wells Brothers led worship Friday night. If you were not there, you missed a blessing. Many were touched by the Rogers family’s story and by the wonderful singing.
Kerri, Thomas, Hunter, and Brayden were all able to attend the concert. Hunter even felt well enough to play with some of the other little ones in the nursery.
God never ceases to amaze me at how he can take a hard situation and turn it into a blessing. About 15 to 20 individuals made professions of faith Friday night. I was sitting on the front pew during the concert and was left speechless. I believe that if we just allow God to use us, great things that we could never imagine will be brought forth.
