Brenda Tabor Hunt represented the Nanih Waiya Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in a statewide contest to fund repairs for Rosalie, the antebellum home in Natchez that is owned by the State DAR.
Brenda, who is a retired public school teacher, is married to Richard Hunt and they have two grown daughters.She is the daughter of Mrs. Francis Tabor and the late Bill Tabor. Brenda is a church musician at First United Methodist Church and loves animals.
The local DAR chapter made $699 to support our candidate and Rosalie. The statewide total was $17,000 for repair of the home.
The Nanih Waiya Chapter of the DAR will meet March 27 at First Methodist Church Fellowship Hall to Honor a Good Citizen from each of the 5 high schools in the county. The meeting will begin at 3 p.m. Scholarships will be awarded.
